Astrid has extensive experience across both private and public health sectors. She completed a Nursing degree with Honours working in Neuro-trauma, Oncology and Emergency Departments in Sydney. Her experience spans private Psychiatric Hospitals, Justice Health working in NSW gaols with forensic clients as well as NSW Health. She has taught and contributed to research with UNSW, Sydney University, Western Sydney University and University of Wollongong.
Whilst working as a Registered Nurse Astrid completed a Grad.Dip.Psych with Distinction and Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology with Honours. She then completed a 2 year internship to become a Registered Psychologist.
With an interest in Mental Health and the Neuro-biological aspects of human behaviour, Astrid embarked on further study completing a Master of Psychology (Clinical) and a further 2 years of supervision becoming endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist.
Astrid's Nursing and Psychology experience facilitates an understanding of the physical and mental aspects of human experience.
Astrid is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and Registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
